Description: A large, heavy and extremely well cast Hu from bronze vase. The waisted neck flanked by a pair of loop ring handles issuing from dragon heads, cast in relief to the exterior with two wide bands of archaistic taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground and a further band of confronting birds, the base with a partly obscured inscription that appears to be a Yongle mark.
Age: 17th / 18th century.
Size: Approx 38 cm tall.
Condition: Good – Usual wear consummate with age.
